| | In addition to the
ZL1, the standard 3.6 liter, V-6 engine for the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro
is also available, albeit improved over years past. The SS coupe engine
puts out about 323 horsepower, a slight increase over the 2011 coupe.
Although the engine is more powerful, it will be about 20 pounds lighter
than the previous model's engine. Additionally, an FE4 performance
suspension package is available for the SS coupe model. The package
includes front and rear solid stabilizer bars, front and rear dampers,
and 20" aluminum wheels. The interior of the 2012 Camaro has also
received a makeover. Instrument panels have a new appearance with
revised graphics and trim, the front passenger seat will have a power
lift action, and there will be tactile, comfort-focused enhancements of
the steering wheel's design. A new package option will be the Rear
Vision package, and will include a rearview camera meant to complement
the existing Park Assist feature. External changes to the 2012 Chevrolet
Camaro include a standard rear spoiler and standard tail light design
that was previously only available as part of the RS package. The 2012
Camaro gets between 25 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the
highway. | |
