The service was fine, however, I am quite disappointed that you now charge a fee if a customer wants to use a credit card to pay for the service. The cost you charge for the service is more than sufficient to cover your credit card fees charged by your bank and should be considered a cost of doing business. The only other time I have been asked to pay an additional fee is at a nail salon. If you want to avoid paying the credit card fees, give your customers a discount for paying with a different method - don't penalize them for paying the way 99% of the population pays for goods and services. It's almost like you've developed a way to tack on an extra charge to the service, as people don't generally carry around another method to pay. Lucky for me, I did.

Easy appointment setting process. Waiting area is clean but noisy (I guess that's not necessarily the dealerships fault, other customers just rude). I would prefer if the tech's would remove the paper floor mat they put down when they are done. Leaving it for me to throw away isn't right. Where is the trash can? it's not next to my car, should I just throw it on the ground? Also, I can tell the tech used his foot to push/prop the driver side door open because a dirty shoe print is on my door, that's unacceptable. I do appreciate the car being washed, that's a nice touch.

well to start off i won't be coming back. i know what you are thinking why would i not be coming back? well first of all i was told at least 3 times my truck would be washed and surprise surprise it wasn't. you had my truck for 4 days. i guess you just forgot i guess so if you can't remember what i was told several times I'm guessing i really shouldn't be letting you work on my truck. now for the big thing that stuck in my craw. i was told when i paid i would be charged another 3 percent for using my credit card. now come on guys if you can charge me $180.00 to read a code, which I'm sure you most likely had to pull the motor, to read I'm guessing you aren't strapped for cash. also, with the money you charged i really don't carry that around in my pocket. that part really settled it for me and i will be telling everybody i know that taking my truck to your establishment is rip-off. please feel free to reach out to me if you feel i was wrong on how you took me to the cleaners for reading a code and changing some fluids. im going to click the box that says you can publish my response but I'm guessing that's noy going to happen.

My wife's 2015 Equinox had a coolant leak somewhere. The car was running hot and so I discovered coolant on my garage floor and called Sands Chevrolet where I bought the car and have had it maintained since I bought it. I called my service advisor, Ken Ashby, and told him of the problem and he told me to bring the car right in. I did so on a Thursday and while it was there I had other routine maintenance done. He called me back and said there indeed was a coolant leak and the problem was the water pump. He said the water pumps were on back order and he would try to find one with other dealers. He did find one but afterwards that dealer said that pump had already been promised to someone else. Ken then told me that the only pumps available were aftermarket ones and he would get the best one available. I had also told him my windshield washer reservoir was leaking. That had been replaced under warranty last year. He said that I would have to pay for it if I wanted it replaced, and I said no because of the $400 cost. On Monday he called me at the end of the day to tell me my car was ready and I told him I would pick it up on Tuesday morning. When I did, he told me he had researched the windshield reservoir and found that it was covered under the previous repair warranty and replaced it thus fixing the problem and saving me $400. This isn't the first time Ken went the extra mile for me on repairs and is the reason I continue to take my car to that dealership for maintenance and repair.

It hard to put my experience into words. I'll will say they are good and bad there. I have purchased 2 used and 3 new vehicles over the years. , The 2012 i was tricked into taking it home and tri the engine was blown and the otherI was tricked. Car number 1 2012 Dodge Caravan When you walk in told them i just wanted to look around. They asked if i would be trading in my vehicle, I said yes. They asked for my keyes to do an appraisal. They never gave my keys back, even after I told them i them i haven't decided if i wanted to move forward. The sales person asked me to just take it home for the night and bring it back if i decded not to take the vehicle. I went home and slept over it and decided I didn't want it. They wouldn't give me my car back. I kept the 2012 Dodge Caravan. It was beautiful and worked well. Point is I didn't want it but had to keep it because they wouldn't give me my car back. Car number 2 It was more then 10 years before i returned to give Sands Chevrolet another chance to make it right. 2020 Covlid time. I stopped in just to look. My trust level was low. I fell in love with a 2017 infinity qx60 jully loaded beautiful vehicle and it had low miles. I left without deciding. I was at work the salesman called me over and over again. Asking me if i wanted the vehicle. I explained to him that i needed to drive it. He said he could bring it to me at work. I really wasn't comfortable with it. I reminded him about the previous experience. He assured me that i would try it over the weekend and bring it back if I didn't like it. Well after driving it for a couple of hours it was smoking. I took it back, the service there at Sands Chevrolet advised to take it to infinity because it was still under factory warranty. I took it to infinity Peoria and they advised me to take it right back to Sands Chevrolet because the warranty was voided and it was reported to car fax. The sales man said it was just a oversight. It should not have been on the lot. The salesman said look and find something you like and they would make it right. There wasn't anything I liked or wanted othere than a Traverse lt or a Tahoe and they both was out of my price range. I asked for my vehicle back they lied and said it was already at the auction. I traded in my beautiful 2013 ford Taurus that had less than 70,000 miles in near excellent condition. I was told I would get 7000 for it. They gave me about 2000 less. I ended up with a 2020 equinox I wasn't happy but i took anyway. They said there was nothing else they could do. Car number 3 The 2020 worked great, payments was appove my comfort. I took that vehicle in for a oil change and i was told it had some other issues. It needed engine work. My car was returned and the oil change light came on. I called service asked why the light was on if they indeed did an oil change. The service advisor assured me that an oil change was done. I couple weeks later a friend noticed my car was ticking. He checked the oil there wasn't any oil on the dip stick. I tried numerous time just because I didn't understand how. I had no oil on my drive way. I called the service advisor and she said to bring it in to be checked. I stood right beside them while they was checking it. It was the same there wasn't any oil on the dip stick. My engine was bad. I had an extended warranty that paid for Sands Chevrolet mistake. They wanted me to accept an engine that had over 80,000 miles. I refused. This wasn't my fault. Why should I continue to pay the brice for their mistakes? Sands Chevrolet way to fix it is to get me finance another vehicle. Vehicle 4 2025 equinox it was a beautiful car but it did not feel safe driving. Payments was over my comfort zone. 660.00 monthly. I asked to stay under 600.00 The alignment was off. At just under 1000 miles the car needed major transmission repairs. I had brought this vehicle back more then 3 time for repairs. I wanted a different vehicle. I asked for the same vehicle, same price, just change it out. The manager agreed for me to come it but there wasn't any options for getting the same vehicle. Vehicle number 5 2026 Equinox Active. Payments went up again after I asked them to stay under 700. My payments are 760.00. This is not easy. Love this car, I picked i drove it. It's like night and day between the drive of the 2025 and 2026. I paid for warranty and gap on both vehicles. I was told by the finance officer that I would be receiving a refund for the service warranty, gap and tags. I really respect and thank my service advisor Karri, the sales man Will and thwe finance officer. Kirk he is good at what he do. I hope my experience help bring change. The costumer shouldn't loss or have to pay for mistakes that was made by the company employees. When they say they are going to make it right. They shouldn't let the customer loss and they gain.. They shouldn't try to cover up, keep mistakes quiet, they should learn from them. I kept coming hoping that I would see someone who truly cared. I did . Thanks again to those that helped to make it better.

Jose, the service advisor was rude and combative. He accused me of presenting an oil change coupon that was not yours and even argued with me when I pulled up your surprise Chevrolet sands email containing the coupon. After that interaction he basically just blew me off and clearly did not have time for me or my questions. I called Timothy the service manager and explained the situation and reminded him that I am a local customer that has had my car serviced at that location for 5 years. He clearly did not have time for my complaint and gave zero apologies or explanation for Jose’s poor behavior. I was told “I’ll talk to him” referring to Jose. I find the lack of professionalism and concern for my issue disturbing. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere from now on. You clearly do not need or value my loyal business!

Everything I expected from a Dealership Service Dept. . Tom Kaskas was in touch with me from the start , throughout the lengthy diagnosis until the problem was found and fixed. Tom kept me apprised of any developments and costs as we went along. I was confident that the charges were justified and at no time have I felt I was overcharged or taken advantage of. I was offered options for the repair. Tom and the other staff were always courteous and never condescending. My vehicle was washed before I picked it up I received a full report and suggested repairs. This is how dealership service departments used to treat people 20 years ago… refreshing to see one again!

Initially I was please they were able to get the vehicle in and it was ready very quickly. Unfortunately my vehicle was aloud to leave without being thoroughly inspected that the work was complete. My vehicle was release with no transmission fluid and when my husband called to address the issue he was told there was no way that this would have happen. My receipt stated all fluids checked and topped off, the transmission was low seven quarts. Then not wanting to tow the vehicle back to your service department wanting us to cover that expense just didn’t seem right but after approval to have it towed and telling us that if it wasn’t the transmission we would would have to cover the expense of the tow just don’t seem like good customer service.

So we purchased traverse and went into finance office when they shut off lights. So we were in there trying to use a light to see. Finance person stated he always takes care of his veterans and offered an extended warranty which he clearly stated the price for it many times but we kindly didn’t take. But after that he printed out papers and needed us to sign docs. Again in the dark. When I got home I started to look at paper work since numbers where not making sense and noticed we got charged for a life insurance which miss Debie kindly sent us paper work to cancel but at finance I was not informed it was an additional charge. Then I noticed I believe like a $1600 approx charge for ingraving on windows of vin which I would have never accepted if finance would have told me of the price. Again he didn’t tell me the price. Very disappointed since I’m a disabled vet and trusted the dealership while singing in the dark. My trust in the dealership is gone at this point.

Sales rep Zaydee was amazing. Insurance person and finance were very arrogant. Finance, Beau was very dismissive when I was trying to gain all the information I needed in order to understand everything. Then going through my paperwork, I signed one document with sales stating that gap was $1,199 I believe, and then looking through my paperwork it was sold to me at $1,500. So that’s confusing, I wanted clarification and I was trying to get a complete document showing me everything I paid and all discounts on the vehicle and it felt that I was getting a complete work around, and didn’t get the documentation that I was requesting. Beau did not take the time to go over each document, simply rushing through, “sign here, initial here”, etc. Not very good customer service. & The insurance guy is very mistaken on his pricing that we would “save money”, I went from a 2018 to a 2025 and it raised our insurance $30, while he was trying to raise it $100 a month. Needless to say, it didn’t work. But I get it, “sales tactics.”

We called in at around 10:30 and spoke with Jared about the white Chevy traverses eta that were shown online. We needed something within a week before our vacation. Write my 2024 blazer RS in for Service because reverse gear would not work correctly. Evaluation indicated it needed a transmission valve body. Ken Ashby explain the problem and the backorder situation across the country with this transmission valve body. Can help us secure a rental vehicle that the first day I had to pay for myself. After that, the rental is arranged with San Chevrolet paying for a portion Of the rental. Expecting the car to take several weeks to months for repair we were pleasantly surprised when Ken called and said the car was completed 12 days later in fact, the car transmission now runs better than it did when it was brand new. Can’t can be enough for his diligence and support through this Repair.

When I purchased new Bridgestone tires, I was told the extended warranty would cover flats. It was extremely easy to book - on-line - my 60k mile service appointment with my preferred service advisor, Jake Friedberg. The subsequent text reminders were great. Jake greeted me right on time and took the time to discuss exactly what services were appropriate. I appreciated the desk with power in the customer waiting area that enabled me to work remotely, I also appreciated the ability to stay in the loop with Jake via texts as the work was done. Finally, I appreciated Jake walking through the working performed, but most importantly, I REALLY appreciated the excellent inspection report that indicated both the immediate and preventative services required to keep my Equinox in top condition. HOWEVER, I have scrupulously maintained my Equinox per the Severe Service & Maintenance Schedule in my Owners Manual. The Inspection Report references what apparently is a different schedule - I need to see that schedule before proceeding with the work recommended in the Inspection. I have no doubt that Jake will provide that schedule and we'll work together to continue the excellent service I've received. Thanks for taking such good care of my Equinox!

My one complaint is not directed at Kylie, but I was provided a 4.9% APR during discussions (via text - still have), which was the whole reason I booked my trip from Las Vegas to Arizona to buy the vehicle. When I got there and talked to finance, it was an entirely different higher APR. This was obviously upsetting. Finance basically said “Look… Kylie didn’t come up with that APR on her own. She is newer - someone with her - her manager, whoever, gave her that number to get you in the door. They were very apologetic but could not honor an APR that didn’t exist. I felt stuck and lied to.

Jose was the advisor, seemed agitated from the start with me, demanded paperwork from Little Joe and told me to go get it. Seriously? Joe took care of it with Jose, Joe also had a bit of an attitude from Jose. I don't often complain about service, but he was awful and I won't deal with him again.

I had my truck in for transmission replacement under GM warranty and your dealership charged me 2,500 dollars to remove the pan for the warranty company! I went to Sands Chevrolet to purchase a vehicle and was taken by the sales people You hear the stories of you should never trust a used car sales man this is it. ! they never disclosed the cost of the vehicle I was purchasing , and I didn't ask either not until I got home with the vehicle. 2. asked for an extended warranty and they said I would be buying a five year one hundred thousand mile warranty and they gave me something else. the vehicle came with that warranty from the factory. 3. I feel that I was taken advantage of by them but I also didn't protect myself from them by not asking these questions either. everybody wants to make money but I feel that they took advantage of two Mid sixty year old people and they didn't have too. Long story short they did sell me a vehicle I asked for and they offered it to me to buy and I did. would I ever return to this car dealership or recommend it to others ......NEVER. I am sure my story is one of many for this dealership,if not to many people are to ashamed to tell the tale of being taken advantaged of.....just like I am. Buyer beware is the best advise I would give for this company that bares the name of GM. Thank you for your time

Not happy that dealership rep would not accept a coupon sent by the sands chevrolet dealership. Not very smart business since now I will not be returning to do any business with sands as a result. Also service department were slow to check me in... 3 workers walked by my vehicle and did not inquire as to my appointment until Melissa finally stopped to check me in. Oil change technician moved my seat and did not put it back to my setting and also left his trash in my vehicle. Poor service all around....lost me as a customer and I will let others know.

Vehicle was delivered for diagnosis and was left for a couple days. Car has minor fuel leak with odor of gasoline and is recommended not to be parked indoors. Upon picking vehicle up car was extremely dirty and was not delivered to customer better than it was found. Service member was very short and unfriendly with a request to hand wash the vehicle from customers. Recommendation: deliver vehicles better than the service department received them and employees be much more friendly and accommodating to customers.

I am a new customer to Sands Chevrolet Surprise after having a disappointing experience with AutoNation Chevrolet Arrowhead on Bell Road (also as a new customer). The contrast in customer service was remarkable. 1) On line reservation: was seamless and I was engaged with a service rep (Jean) with email and a phone call soon after. She introduced herself to confirm the reservation and go over some details regarding my service needs and informed me of possible coupon discounts (I like this). I had no similar interaction with the AutoNation. 2) Drive up to the service entrance: at Sands I had near immediate engagement with a service rep who greeted me and notified Jean of my arrival. In relatively short order, Jean and I reviewed the service request, discussed other aspects of their service regiment (alignment check, free wash, etc), and addressed questions I had. At AutoNation - I waited over 10 minutes before seeing that there was a service rep (one) working his way thru the other cars ahead of me. It then took a while longer just to get thru the check in process. 3) During the service: Jean communicated with me regarding any 'findings' from the tech doing the work and presented options available to me. She even made a focused effort to get me on the phone/text/email to update me on a requested service option I had requested. (I very much appreciate the extra effort as it all worked out for me.) I did not get the same level of communication from the boys up the street. Just a call to come bail out the truck. 4) Post service: I'm an old 'Gear Head' who has worked on cars before I could legally drive. So the 1st thing I always do is to check the work done on my vehicles. Impressed with Sands!! No splattered oil on the engine, No hand prints or splotches of grime on the hood or other surfaces, and they even wiped down the chrome wheels after the tire rotation. The only notable in the engine bay was the windshield washer reservoir wasn't topped off as I would have expected (yea - nitpick here). On the other side of town - AutoNation released my truck with pools and splashes of brake fluid in several areas in the engine bay (brake fluid changed out). As expected, some paint peeling and discoloration in those areas even after an immediate clean up and wash down. Not a happy camper! Paid for tire rotation but appears it wasn't done - dead TPM location did not change. I had to use Simple Green to clean off many areas on the outside of the truck where I found grease or grime left by the tech after working under the truck. Can't imagine why I would go back to AutoNation after this experience. Having said the above - Sands Chevrolet Surprise will be my go-to dealer for any service needs on my truck. Jean was fantastic in her communications and customer focus. The service on my truck was as promised / expected. I thank them and I will highly recommend Sands Chevrolet Surprise to anyone.

Just wanted to provide some feedback on the service work on my car so your service department can improve. Inspection after the vehicle was returned to me revealed two areas that can use improvement. All the clips on the wire harness to the fan motor were broken and not attached to the fan motor shroud. This was disappointing as the wires hanging loose have the potential to become damaged in the spinning fan over time.The clamp screw that holds the intake air box to the engine intake was loose. This was disappointing as the loose air box has the potential to become detached from the engine over time allowing dust and dirt to enter the engine without being properly filtered. Over all I’m satisfied with the work performed. But was not satisfied with these detail items. Someone with little or no knowledge of vehicles would probably never have noticed these items.

The previous time, my trim came off while going through the car wash , and they didn’t top off my coolant after flushing my system. This is two times in a year that there has been an issue. First of all, I love the truck that I bought, however, I just felt that we got robbed from the deal. When I was dealing with the agent, I showed him a photo that there’s a holiday deal for the Colorado around 4 grand but it was in another state that my cousin sent me. The agent told me that there are no promotions for the truck in your dealership. I was trying to check it online, but couldn’t go thru, thought that the connection was jammed. After couple of days, I checked the dealership offers and confirmed that Sands Chevy has holiday deals for the Colorado! It is very disappointing that I didn’t get the discount which could’ve helped us pay a little less, and we could’ve gotten a better trim! Now, I regret buying a car from Sands Chevrolette, especially that the agent wasn’t being transparent about the promotions or special deals! So disappointing!

Robert Wolf is always fantastic to deal with. He's professional, no nonsense and explains my options without being pushy. I truly appreciate his candor regarding the time it will take for my vehicle to be ready. Some service advisors at other dealerships will make all sorts of flowery promises regarding speed of completion or "getting you to the front of the line", which is both disingenuous and unfair for the other customers who have been there longer. But Robert is always a straight shooter and gives accurate completion estimates allowing me to make the decision of getting the work done now or coming back when I have more time. Robert is the reason why I keep coming back to Sands. Thank you, Robert!

Just seems cold and did not address the clicking sound and felt I was saying something crazy when explaining the noise after truck shuts off. I'll get another dealer to check this and I will not be back to Sands. No equipment check sheet again as well. The red/yellow/green systems check.
